MTOW increase to 850kg!

As a result of a weight reduction program combined with an increased MTOW to 850kg, the Whitney Boomerang's useable payload is now increased to 238kg, allowing 2 persons of 84kg each to fly on a 3.3hr navex with 45 mins fuel reserve. The full fuel load in fact allows an endurance in excess of 6 hrs! This outstrips the C152 by some margin whilst still complying with the latest CASA FAR 23 requirements; considerably tougher today that when Cessna ceased production of 2 seat trainers back in the eighties!

How to save $100/aircraft per day!

As AVGAS pushes closer to $2.00 per litre, the prudent flying school operator will be thinking about ways to cut operating costs without losing patronage. How? Consider this: A 4-seat C172 or Warrior burns over 10 litres of fuel more per hour than a 2-seat Whitney Boomerang. At $2 per litre that equates to over $20 per hour which for 5 hours a day represents in excess of $100 per day, per aircraft in unnecessary fuel! Over a 30 day period, the fuel bill is now over $3000 per aircraft greater than it need be! Why waste money? Get Smart! Things will NOT get better without forward planning! Introduce the Boomerang into your fleet and watch the savings quickly accumulate whilst retaining your students!
