Airframe Aerostaff guarantees to underwrite all spare parts. A 4130 tubular steel frame cockpit cage surrounds the occupants affording 12g forward protection, roll-over and side intrusion protection. The wing is a lightweight single span construction with a fatigue life of 19,500 hours, utilizing a wide range of lift and drag that produces optimum lift for quick high performance take-offs, and maximum drag for slow, short field landings. For durability and strength, all control surfaces are built from solid steel with aviation grade bolts and nuts. Multistage Electric Flaps ensuring smooth, effective airflow with 40° flap deflection producing an impressive 43 knot stall speed at gross weight. Integral wing tanks allow a range of Brisbane to Sydney with reserves. Powerplant This direct drive, carburetted engine will provide years of painless operation. The larger 160hp 0-320 Lycoming engine will be fitted as an option for the full IFR version, with a variable pitch proeller and CSU. Cabin The fully adjustable deep upholstered seats match those of any airline business class, offering supreme comfort on long navigation flights, with user-friendly four point harnesses tested to 26g fitted as standard. A baggage compartment behind the seats allows up to 20kg of luggage to be stored.

In securing
major partner Aerostaff,
the entire airframe purposely designed to be modular for ease of
production and maintenance, is being entirely fabricated in Melbourne
prior to being delivered to Kingaroy in Queensland for assembly.
Finished in the highest quality two-pack paint for maximum protection,
the all-metal skin coverings are of lightning protection 6061-T6
material offering the highest corrosion resistance.
The choice
of using a 118hp O-235 Textron Lycoming engine for the Boomerang
was an obvious one. Widely recognized as the most reliable piston
engine in the world, the Lycoming offers peace of mind and total
dependability, with a manufacture recommended 2400 hour TBO. An
optional 125hp with a TBO of 1800 hrs is available upon request.
Particular
attention has been paid to the design of the Boomerang cabin, to
ensure maximum possible space, visibility, strength, ventilation,
noise reduction and comfort. The cockpit enjoys greater headroom
and width than a Piper Tomahawk or a Cessna 152. Pilot and passenger
access is by dual strong hinged cabin doors designed to tolerate
extensive use and punishment, whilst maintaining the generous all-round
visibility through a choice of night rated lightly coloured windscreens;
in clear, blue or bronze.
